About Us
Le Mouton Rouge Knittery originally opened in Morris, Illinois, in 2011. Today, you'll find us at our new location, on 1210 Towanda Ave, Suite 12 in Bloomington, Illinois (in the front of the plaza near Axline pharmacy). Regardless of where we hang our hat (knitted, of course), we continue to offer the same level of quality and service our customers have come to rely on.The shop is owned and operated by Kelly Norby, an avid knitter and talented instructor. She takes pride in procuring the finest fibers the industry has to offer, while maintaining competitive prices for our valued customers.
As a full service knit and crochet shop, we stock an extensive variety of yarns, needles, and notions. From common cottons and cozy wools to luxury cashmere fibers, there's something here for every budget any skill level.
Le Mouton Rouge Knittery features a designated classroom where we offer a wide range of classes, parties, and special store events. Our classes are all taught by friendly, patient instructors in a welcoming and supportive environment. Drop by the shop and browse our stunning displays of yarn, or bring your favorite project and come sit and relax with fellow fiber enthusiasts!
We host open stitching times on Tuesday evenings from 6-8pm and Thursday afternoons from 1-3pm.
We offer flat rate shipping for $6.49 on all orders under $100, orders of $100 or more ship for free! Website orders are non-returnable. The instore policy is available in the shop.
