Le Mouton Rouge Knittery

WEAVE: Introduction to Rigid Heddle Weaving with Jay Warner

If you are looking at this class, you probably have some exposure to fiber arts. Maybe you are a knitter, crocheter, or spinner? Do you have waaayy too many yarn scraps sitting around? Or a never-ending yarn stash that will take several lifetimes to knit or crochet? Weaving on a Rigid Heddle Loom may be just the answer for you. You can use all of the same yarns you already have in your stash.

Or maybe you have always been interested in weaving but a floor loom would be too big or cost prohibitive. Rigid Heddle Looms are a great entry point for weaving. They are easier to set up and have a much smaller price point for entry into the craft of weaving.

Either way, this class will teach you the fundamentals of beginning weaving on a Rigid Heddle Loom. Participants will learn the basics of plain weave structure while creating a scarf using sport or DK weight yarn.

By the end of this 2-day workshop, you will have a beautiful finished scarf!
